It's not so bad being an 'old geezer' To the Editor: Not long ago, I heard myself be referred to as an old "geezer." My first impulse was to be offended. After analyzing the term, I came away with a fresh point of view. One can view such a remark as insulting if one thinks negatively. Apply a positive spin and the result is very flattering and uplifting. I won't dwell on negative thoughts...

The summer skies over Solsberry will be glowing with an array of colorful fireworks and loud booms Friday night on the eve of Independence Day. Country music will fill the air. "Hoosier Doughboys" to march in the Freedom Festival Parade

As the "Hoosier Doughboys" march through Linton's streets in the Fourth of July parade Saturday, they will not only be honoring the soldiers of World War I, but also in remembrance of a hometown soldier who served in that conflict.
