Gearold Everett Knowles, 88, passed away at 3:27 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at his home in Indianapolis. He was born in Greene County on Jan. 15, 1922, the son of Everett and Mary (Hill) Knowles. Knowles had been a life-long resident of Greene County until moving to Indianapolis in 2002. He had been a member of First Baptist Church in Linton...

Thursday was a day to remember and honor the county's military veterans of the past and pay tribute to those currently serving this county at home and abroad. So as tradition would have it on the 11th month on the 11th day at the 11th hour, a Veteran's Day service sponsored by the Greene County Veterans Council was conducted on the courthouse square in Bloomfield.....
