Students in the five Greene County school districts enjoyed an extra day off of classes following a weekend storm that dumped about two inches of snow in most of the county and with high winds temperatures dipped in the sub-zero range. School was canceled for Linton-Stockton, Bloomfield, Eastern Greene, White River Valley and MSD of Shakamak districts on Monday. Jasonville approves concrete extension at fire station

The main item on the Jasonville City Council meeting Monday evening was a vote for a change order for the concrete apron that is to be extended from the front of the new fire station. At the special November meeting, the council voted to extend the cement apron from the fire station if the price didn't exceed $1,100. That amount was what the fire department had in fundraising money and also included $3,024 left from the grant money for the project...
