EGHS boys basketball golf scramble set for July 20

The Eastern Greene boys basketball program will be hosting a fundraising best ball golf scramble on Sunday, July 20 at Hidden Hills Golf Course. When Mary (Strosnider) Smith of Owensburg worked with her homemakers group to start the Founders Day Parade she and her partners thought it wouldn't take off. Now it's a part of a festival that continues to this day. Smith lived in Owensburg for 77 years before moving to Brownsburg to be with her family in 1991, not long before her husband, Cleve, passed away.
