Odis F. Waggoner, 84, of Odon, passed away Oct. 7, 2009. Born in Martin County on Oct. 22, 1924, he was the son of Curtis and Verna (Dowden) Waggoner. Following graduation from Burns City High School in 1941, he joined the U.S. Army Air Force. Serving with the 492nd Bomb Group (H) and the 36th Bomb Squadron (RCM) of the "Mighty Eighth" Air Force in World War II, he was a flight engineer and waist gunner on the B-24 "Lady Jane."...
