When Bloomfield tips off against Eminence Saturday at Southwestern High School the Cardinals will know the coach of the Eels pretty well. N. Franklin Street in Bloomfield will remain closed overnight due to a tree limb falling down and blocking the road. The road will remain closed until AT&T can get the tree removed from the fiber optic lines without damage to the utility. -

The Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce held its first after-hours event of 2023 on Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the Feed Store Beer Co. in Bloomfield. The after-hours event included a pizza contest between locally owned pizzerias Belly and Kecky’s Pizzeria and Mill Street Pizza. Linton Elementary second-graders are about to have their dreams come true. Through an international program administered locally by Indiana University’s Comprehensive Design Program in the School of Art, Architecture and Design and aided by engineering and technology students led by Teacher Quincy Miller at Middleton High School in Wisconsin, all five of Linton’s second-grade classes, led by Teachers Crystal Hazelwood, Melissa Fry, Kate Erdman, Jerrica Landis and Laura Rose, were presented with the question, “If you could build any kind of machine, what would you build?”. ...
