Note: The nature of the Internet makes it impractical for our staff to review every comment. Please note that those who post comments on this website may do so using a screen name, which may or may not reflect a website user's actual name. Refrain from obscenity in your comments, and to keep discussions civil, don't say anything in a way your grandmother would be ashamed to read.
  • I remember the first verse and I can remember hearing June Carter-Cash singing it, but I didn't know who came out with it first. Carson Robinson was a bit before my time.

"The sun comes up and the sun goes down

The hands on the clock keep goin' around

I just get up and it's time to lay down

    Life gets tedious don't it?"
