Lauren Jones and Olivia Miller tied for medalist honors, leading the Linton-Stockton High School girls golf team to two wins in a match at the Phil Harris Golf Course Thursday. Although it's new this year, the freshmen mentoring program at Eastern Greene High School has been well-received by students. Currently, 30 EG upperclassmen, as well as the entire freshmen class, are participating in the program. Mentors meet with a group of five or six freshmen twice a month...

This year Eastern Greene High School will make use of a program that places responsibility on upperclassmen by allowing them to mentor freshmen. EG High School Principal Kevin Frank explained, "This is a new program. It's kind of something that our school improvement committee had looked at.
