Detectives continue to investigate train derailment; reward offered

Indiana State Police detectives expect to wrap up their investigation early next week of an alleged vandalism case that they believe caused the derailment Wednesday of 22 loaded train cars in eastern Sullivan County. The cars were loaded with potash and parked for long-term storage by The Indiana Rail Road Co. on a unused railroad spur of the former No. 3 Kendall Mine, near Gilmour in western Greene County. Sgt. Joe Watts, of the Terre Haute ISP Post, told the Greene County Daily World on Thursday afternoon that there is nothing new in the ongoing investigation.
